So you made some money online! Great. What should you do with it?
Invest of course!
When I say invest, I don't necessarily mean wall street. I mean invest in yourself!
Take a class (online or in person), and learn something new.
Take a trip. You work hard, invest in a little R&R for yourself.
Invest in your health. Its the most important asset you have, and sometimes the most ignored.
Buy real estate. Yes the housing market crashed. What does that mean? It means houses are finally not overpriced and its time to buy something and wait for another boom.
I'm not an expert with real estate, so don't take my advice, but this guy knows what he's doing and I'm hoping I can learn a lot from him.
Invest in your soul, give to charity. Why not? You know what they say, what goes around, comes around!
Invest in your business. So you made some money and it barely cost you anything. Now you have some of that much needed start up capital to start your own business.
Historically, no investment has paid off better than the stock market. Yes it has its ups and downs, but if you can learn the basics, you're already ahead of most people. How much time a week do you spend researching prices to save some money? Now how much time do you spend researching investments where you can put that money. If you spent the same time on both, you'd be on your way to early retirement.
Check out some of the books to the right and start learning on your own.
Open up an online brokerage account. They're free to open, and with all the competition around, amazingly cheap to use.
**IMPORTANT: If you are going to do this, only use the money you know you won't need for the next five years. If you have debts or bills to pay, take care of those first! The interest and fees you end up paying on unpaid bills will offset any stock market gain you might make and leave you back at zero, or worse**
